The introductory climbing sessions in Mijoux, in the Jura, are suitable for beginners and fitness enthusiasts aged 4 and above. This outdoor activity in Franche-Comté lasts 1½ hours and takes place alongside other participants.

The Goulette cliff is located in the immediate vicinity of Les Rousses, Saint-Claude and the Pays de Gex. The journey from Geneva takes around an hour by car.

I’m not very sporty – can I still take part?

Yes, climbing is a gentle sport that’s accessible to everyone. Of all our climbing trips in the Jura, this one is a great way to get started with vertical climbing. It’s ideal for a first outing with children.

I’m very sporty – will I get bored?

If you’re fit, it’s best to opt for a longer climbing session. An hour and a half is fine with children.

How long should I allow for this?

Allow 1½ hours for the activity.

Where is the Goulette cliff?

The Goulette cliff is located in Mijoux, in the Jura, 30 minutes from the Les Rousses ski resort and Saint-Claude. It’s about an hour’s drive from Geneva or the Pays de Gex.

I wear glasses – can I take part?

Of course! Make sure you bring a cord. Your guide will explain how to keep them from getting lost or damaged. Ideally, bring an old pair. Better still, wear contact lenses if you can.

What if the weather is bad?

The guide may change the itinerary. If the activity cannot go ahead, we will reschedule it for another day. If this is not possible, we will cancel it. In that case, you will receive a full refund.
