Imagine yourself enjoying an aperitif while suspended in a Portaledge overlooking Lake Vouglans. Settled comfortably above the void, take in the exceptional views as you watch the sun set over one of the Jura’s most beautiful landscapes.
This unique experience in Franche-Comté is perfect for sharing a special moment together, surrounded by nature, in a peaceful and intimate setting.
After a short ten-minute walk through the forest, we reach the site and set up the Portaledge facing the lake. Once we’re comfortably settled in, all that’s left to do is enjoy the moment and the colours of the sunset over the cliffs and the turquoise waters of Lake Vouglans.

Safety, supervision and equipment
Portaledge outings at Lac de Vouglans in the Jura are open to everyone aged 10 and over. This unique activity in Franche-Comté takes place over an evening. It is offered exclusively by Rock’n Jump Adventure.

Lake Vouglans is situated in the immediate vicinity of the resorts of Les Rousses, Clairvaux-les-Lacs and Saint-Claude. The journey from Geneva, Lyon, Dijon or Besançon takes between 1½ and 2 hours by car.

Is the Portaledge activity suitable for children?
Yes, Portalege aperitifs are suitable for children aged 10 and over. We provide suitable local produce. You’re never too old to enjoy the most beautiful sunset in the Jura!
What does the aperitif include?
The aperitif includes a selection of cold meats, cheeses, bread and drinks (fruit juice and/or beer). Where possible, we use local and/or organic produce. As an optional extra, you can share a half-bottle of champagne.
I have special dietary requirements; is the appetiser suitable?
Yes, we tailor our dishes to suit individual dietary requirements. Please let us know when you make your booking. If we have any questions, we will give you a call.
How long should I allow for this?
Allow 3 hours for the activity.
Where is the Portaledge spot located?
The Portaledge site is located above Lake Vouglans, at a location kept secret to ensure privacy. The lake is in the Jura, 30 minutes from Saint-Claude and Clairvaux-les-Lacs. Allow an hour’s drive from Les Rousses, Geneva, Lyon or the Pays de Gex. The meeting point is the same as for the Regardoir via ferrata.
What if the weather is bad?
The guide may change the itinerary. If the activity cannot go ahead, we will reschedule it for another day. If this is not possible, we will cancel it. In that case, you will receive a full refund.
