Canyoning guide in Saint Claude

Summer season 2026

🟢 Vacancy

Rock’n Jump Adventure is offering a contract role for a canyoning guide for the 2026 summer season:

from 25 July to 20 August 2026.

The working hours can be arranged flexibly. The role is based in Saint Claude in the Jura. You will be leading activities at various canyoning sites in the Jura.
Depending on your qualifications, you may also be required to lead caving, rock climbing and via ferrata sessions.

Tasks

Guiding all types of participants on canyoning trips. You will mainly be working in the Grosdar, Coiserette and Gorges de Malvaux canyons. Occasionally, there will be a few trips to more technical canyons.
Maintenance, cleaning and tidying of equipment and the plant room in Saint Claude.
Maintenance of training grounds where necessary.
Encouraging customers to try another activity and to leave reviews on social media.
Collection of payments for activities where necessary (on an ad hoc basis).

Which workers?

Qualifications required: BEES in Climbing, DEJEPS in Canyoning or BEES in Caving.
We can accommodate DEJEPS canyoning trainees.
Self-employed or sole trader status | A vehicle is essential.
Correct English.

If you have a caving and/or climbing qualification, this will help you make the most of your days. This will enable you to work for a longer season.

Working conditions

Climbing equipment provided – except for personal gear and climbing ropes.
A storage area in Saint Claude for loading and unloading equipment.
Groups of 6 to 10 people maximum, depending on the canyon.
Personalised timetables.
€400 in housing allowance or a place in the instructors’ shared flat – No sleeping rough in lorries.
A Category B driving licence and a car are essential.

Fees

€170 per half-day trip (approx. 3 hours).
€340 per day trip (approx. 5½ hours).
By invoice only.

Caving guide in Saint Claude

Summer season 2026

Rock’n Jump Adventure is offering a contract for a caving guide for the 2026 summer season:

from 1 July to 31 August 2026.

The schedule can be arranged to suit. The role is based in Saint Claude in the Jura. You will be supervising at various caving sites in the Jura.
Depending on your qualifications, you may also be required to supervise canyoning, rock climbing and via ferrata activities.

Tasks

Guiding all types of participants in caving. You will mainly be working in the caves at Pontoise, Coinans, Les Forges and La Baume de la Fraite. Occasionally, there will be a few trips to the more technical caves at Les Moulins and Haut Crêt.
Maintenance, cleaning and tidying of equipment and the plant room in Saint Claude.
Maintenance of training grounds where necessary.
Encouraging customers to try another activity and to leave reviews on social media.
Collection of payments for activities where necessary (on an ad hoc basis).

Qualification required: BEES in Caving or DEJEPS in Caving.

Reception and Business Development Officer in Saint Claude

Summer season 2026

🟢 Vacancy

Rock’n Jump Adventure is looking to fill a role as a reception and development officer for the 2026 summer season:

from 15 July to 25 August 2026.

The working hours can be arranged to suit. The role is based in Saint Claude in the Jura. You will welcome customers, advise them and promote our activities to them at the reception desk in Saint Claude, as well as over the telephone.

Tasks

Providing advice and selling products to customers, either in-store, at the office or over the phone,
Receipts from operations,
Development and updating of social media,
Maintenance, cleaning and tidying of the reception area,
Ad hoc technical support for the team of guides (equipment management),
Equipment management.

Which workers?

Self-employed, sole trader or employee,
Good command of English – able to take a booking over the phone,
Basic proficiency in IT tools,
An interest in outdoor activities.

Depending on the skills involved, additional tasks may be assigned.

Working conditions

Opening hours: 8.45 am / 12.00 pm – 1.30 pm / 5.30 pm
€400 in housing allowance or a place in the instructors’ shared flat – No sleeping rough in lorries.

Remuneration

Depending on skills and employment status (self-employed or employed).
